Statement on Coronavirus
Kennels, Cattery and Helping our Frontline Staff During Coronavirus
With cancellation of travel plans, bookings at our kennels and cattery have fallen drastically. It is a difficult time for everyone with so much uncertainty and this is especially so for small businesses. I feel it is during these times when we all need to work together and we’ll get through this. It is also a time when, thankfully, many are coming out to help others and I want to do my part.
To this end, I am offering my kennels & cattery for front line service men and women who are working so hard to help us all. If you are one of these - nurses, doctors, gardai, fire or ambulance personnel - who may be called in on overtime, held over in your jobs or need to stay on to keep things running, I am offering a place for your pet at no charge while you continue to work for the good of everyone. Your efforts are appreciated greatly and we thank you for your help during this difficult time.
Please ring me if I can help organise the care of your pet while you, our frontline staff, do amazing work for us all. All I ask is that you just have an up to date vaccination for your pet. I’m happy to care for your pet while you care for others. You can reach me at 087 283 2767.
Stay safe and stay well.
Please share with others so I can help.
Welcome to Country Dogs Boarding Kennels & Cattery
The home away from home for your Dog or Cat. Love and care provided by
Audrey Percy, her daughter Helen, and Amanda.
Country Dogs Boarding Kennels is one of the top destinations for your pet in the South East. Audrey Percy and her daughter Helen opened the kennels in 2010 after a lifetime of owning dogs, cats and small animals.
With only eleven kennels and state of the art facilities, this is the perfect place for your pet for that extra attention and personalised care. We want your dog or cat to be as happy here as they are at home. Audrey is qualified in animal care and professional grooming. Amanda, who works here, is trained in animal A&E and has first responder experience. We welcome every animal and ensure all of them are well taken care of and enjoy their visit.
In addition to kennels, Audrey and Helen have their own pets including three dogs (Dixie, Stella and Annie) and six cats ( Arnie, Franklin. Peanut, Kevin, Noodles and little Hettie).
Your Pet Will Love It Here
With a lifetime of owning and caring for dogs, cats and small animals, you can rest assured that your loved pet will get the best of care.
State of the Art Facilities, Airy and Spacious
The kennels are purpose built and are large, bright and airy. Each consists of a bedroom (6.5 ft x 7 ft) and an outdoor run (6.5 ft x 10 ft) which is covered for security and protection.
This creates an outdoor area where you dog can remain warm and dry no matter what the weather. The indoor area is heated during cold weather to ensure your dog is comfortable at all times.
Your dog is also provided with a raised orthopaedic bed covered with soft bedding.
We give medication at no extra cost to dogs with special needs or with health issues. We have on site, A&E and first responder experience.
We also have an experienced and trusted vet on call.
We have experience with nearly every breed, from Chihuahuas to St. Bernards and everything in between. When you leave your pet at our boarding kennels or cattery, you can rest assured that your pet will be in the best of hands and looked after with top quality and experienced care.
The kennel garden is securely fenced with seven foot mesh panels so you can be assured that your pet will be safe during his stay at our boarding kennels.
We have CCTV cameras on site as a precaution to keep all animals in our care safe.
Quiet Area for Anxious Pets
We have experience with nervous and stressed dogs which might take a little time to settle so we have a quiet area to help them relax.
Several times a day the dogs in our kennels are let out into the kennel garden for supervised play with the staff and walked.
We have a large selection of dog toys to keep the dogs entertained and free from boredom.
High Quality Food & Special Diets
We supply high quality food for all our dog boarders.
If your pet is on a special diet we are happy for you to supply your own.
Kennel care is very important to us. Kennels are cleaned thoroughly as needed during the day using pet safe disinfectants.
We have been involved with dogs, cats and small animals through showing, rescue,
grooming and hobbies such as dry land mushing. Your pet will be welcome and
happy in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Special Care for Your Dog
Dogs enjoy plenty of attention and interaction. We have eleven state of the art kennels. Each has a 6' x 7' bedroom, orthopaedic beds and a 6' x 10 1/2' attached and covered outdoor run.
We do dog day care as well. High quality food is provided.
Comfy & Cosy for Your Cat
Our purpose built cattery is built with comfort & safety in mind. We have five chalets and each is bright, and homely and has separate eating & sleeping areas. Each is separated with perspex to ensure no cat has contact with any others. High quality dry and wet food is provided.

We wouldn't board our Dogs anywhere else ... We collected them today so they're a bit down in themselves, no doubt missing the company and routine of their holiday in the lovely Countryside! Thanks Audrey !
